Post with 1 note
We all must learn at some point in our lives, and sometimes it can be hard. Living with JA can make everything a whole lot harder as there is pain and exhaustion.
I have just finished my first week of year 11 and mid-way through the second week and well, it was exhausting; after having a 6-week break, my body and joints got used to plenty of rest. Then hitting the books and being at school has been a big change. I’ve only done 7, but I feel like I’ve done way more!
Carrying books, walking from class to class and carrying a heavy bag to and from school, are some of the small aspects, which aren’t noticed, they come normal to most people. With JA or other conditions where you are physically challenged, these minor things are big things.
The hardest part about being at school is managing and getting through the day with minimal pain, which is fairly hard to manage. This is because you don’t know when your going to worse or when you are going to be sore in the first place.
Over the past few days my elbow, wrist and fingers have become incredibly sore with all the writing we have to do, and it’s not something you can’t do in school.
Despite all the pain, I must continue to stay strong and believe. I get through day to day by remembering that the only way to my goal is through school, and staying positive is the only way up.
Think. Do. Be.
